Guidelines for Preparing a Bid to Host DAC 2029

The Deaf Academics and Researchers Conference invites bids to host the 14th DAC in 2029, which can be held anywhere in the world!

Presentation of Bids:
Date: Saturday, June 7, 2025
Time: 3:30 PM
Duration: Maximum 5 minutes

Suggested Content for Bids:

•    Proposed Location

•    Academic institutes or departments interested in hosting

•    Proposed conference chair and committee members

•    Approximate dates

•    Motivations for hosting the conference

•    Theme suggestions

•    Potential funding sources

Note: The more detailed the information, the stronger the bid.

You may use PowerPoint, a video, or a website during your presentation.

Please adhere strictly to the 5-minute time limit.

DAC 2029 Host Responsibilities will include:

• Providing a suitable venue and organizing all necessary facilities

• Maintaining the conference website

• Managing registration and providing conference materials (e.g., badges)

• Advertising the conference via social media

• Ensuring the smooth operation of the event (e.g., organizing a welcome desk, room helpers, etc.)

 

Each applicant will present their bid during the DAC 2025 conference in Houston on the final day (June 7, 2025 at 3:30pm).
